Jozef Jaklovsky

As President and co-founder of IMS, Mr. Jaklovsky has assisted a wide range of U.S., European and Russian companies expand sourcing, exports and sales, with focus on the transportation, engineered product, metallurgical, heavy industrial and construction industries. Jozef has accompanied hundreds of U.S. and European companies seeking business opportunities to Eastern Europe, Russia and the former Soviet Union while assisting scores of Russian and CIS companies export to the United States.

Mr. Jaklovsky also works with senior executives to locate and facilitate strategic partnering opportunities such as joint ventures or local investment. Finally, he has advised companies requiring improvements in existing marketing and sales channels in the U.S., Europe and Russia.

Prior to his leadership of IMS, Mr. Jaklovsky contributed to critical advancements in materials science and nuclear medicine at the Carnegie Mellon Institute, Teledyne, Alcoa, Gould, New England Nuclear and DuPont. His contributions in research and management positions benefited leading-edge technologies such as powder metallurgy, electrochemistry, joining of alloys, metal phase transformation, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear target preparation. Additionally, he is the author of numerous research papers and three books.

Mr. Jaklovsky attained a Masters in Metallurgical Science at the Technical Academy of Kosice, Czechoslovakia in 1964 followed by a position as Professor at the Metallurgical Institute in Slovakia. He also undertook studies at the School of International Relations in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia (1968-1969), the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University (1971-1976).

He is fluent in Slovak, Czech and English, as well as proficient in Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and Serbo-Croatian.
