Jean Sommier Jr.

Manages IMS' research, analysis and financial activities. Jean leads conceptual development for IMS' clients' marketing campaigns and leads the project management team in implementing revenue and efficiency-boosting projects involving design and software. Jean additionally co-founded IMS' multimedia marketing and software development division, Polar Design, with Mark J. Jaklovsky in 1999, gaining a rich background in developing communications and processes between geographically and culturally separated business units.

Jean has developed many groundbreaking multimedia marketing projects, including Logica's multimedia energy industry presentation, the New England Laborers Health & Safety Fund (featuring multimedia Flash and video content). More recently, Jean has lead business plan preparation and financing activities for a greenfield medical supply investment project in East-Central Europe. Jean further leads development of IMS' and Polar Design's internal processes, conceiving business processes and technology needed to boost efficiency for Polar Design's globally distributed teams.

Jean previously worked as an Analyst at Analysis Group/Economics, a Cambridge, Massachusetts based litigation research and economics analysis consultancy, where he was responsible for preparing statistical and econometric analyses with tools such as SAS and Eviews. In addition, Jean was responsible for helping the AG/E staff support their claims and analyses with compelling materials and analyses. Prior to AG/E, Jean held an economic research position with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.

Jean is a graduate of Brandeis University, cum laude, and Phillips Andover Academy, is fluent in English and French, and proficient in German and Russian.
